RAL Certification for the Entire Bonding System

On 5th of July, 2011, Gerald Feigenbutz from the RAL Quality Alliance for Plastic Window Profiles presented the company aluplast GmbH with the RAL certification for bonded windows, valid since 8th of April, 2011.

The certification is awarded for all aluplast centre gasket systems with a profile depth of 70mm and 85mm and also comprises the whole range of laminated profiles that includes more than 40 different colour variations offered by aluplast. Moreover, the certification includes steel-free laminated elements with bonded glass pane, which leads the company to a unique market position.

With the RAL quality label, the Southern German company proves long-lasting quality and best product characteristics for each system. The quality label can be used by any window manufacturer who uses the aluplast bonding system.

The RAL certification demonstrates once again that aluplast took the right course when introducing the bonding inside technology (bonding of pane) more than 7 years ago. In future,  the company will further develope and influence this technology.

With good reason, the family-owned company numbers itself among the most experienced system providers with respect to this process technology, which also has a direct benefit for the customers. By bonding the glass pane unit to the PVC sash profile, the thermal bridge “steel reinforcement” is erased.  Elegant and filigree profile widths allow for even more light entering the rooms while the circumferential bonding guarantees excellent burglary resistance.

Furthermore, aluplast is one of the technology leaders in the field of bonding of pane. This is confirmed by a patent-protected gluing nozzle and other auxiliary tools for an even more economic and more reliable processing by the customer.

In addition, the aluplast technology “bonding inside” paves the way to further innovations. For instance, it forms a part of energeto^® - the metal-free PVC window system that features glass-fibre reinforcements instead of steel reinforcements in the uPVC profile’s hollow chambers as well as an insulated glass pane bonded to the window sash (bonding inside).

energeto^® is complemented by the patent-protected process technology “foam inside”: The window system’s profile chambers are filled with a special polyurethane foam, which allows for unparalleled insulation values. The foam is injected into the finished element through a minimal hole in the profile. By this means, the profiles’ hollow chambers can be filled completely. Another clear advantage of this technology is that the profile parts can be recycled without any problem once the windows need to be removed.
