Occident goes Orient: aluplast "International innovation days 2011" in Dubai

The first day began with the “energy saving conference” that was held in immediate vicinity of the town's landmark - the Burj al Arab. The conference was opened by Dr. Peter Göpfrich, Executive Director of the German-Emirates Chamber of Commerce. Several speakers from business partners like BASF, Gulf Glass Industries or the RAL – Quality Alliance Germany – presented the latest developments in the energy saving business branch. Dr. Gerhard Schuhmann, Head of the aluplast System Technology Department, gave an internal view of the newest developments of the aluplast product range and answered arising questions. From low-cost uPVC sliding solutions up to the high performance energeto^® class, all systems made by aluplast were highlighted.

On the following “aluplast partners day”, all participants had the chance to discuss the trends of the international window markets with representatives from business related companies like GU, elumatec, Klaes or Rolli International. In addition, speakers from the most diverse regions around the globe like Latin America, India or Australia presented up to date figures about their local window market developments. This international exchange with open-minded discussions gave further inputs to possible new market innovations and ideas.
After this open forum, all partners were invited to the company TAMCO, the leading uPVC window company in the Gulf area and reliable aluplast partner since nearly 20 years. TAMCO’s new production plant as well as the visit of ongoing installation sites gave the visitors an insight into the high quality manufacturing process and service of the company that convinced with outstanding professionalism and expertise.

Thanks to the selected date of the aluplast international innovation days, the participants had the chance to visit the “The Big 5” construction trade fair, which opened the doors for all construction professionals.

During the last day - the cultural day - all participants had the opportunity to learn more about Dubai’s people and explore the city’s rich cultural background. After a sightseeing tour, which showed the architectural and historical spots of the city, the group went for a Desert and Dunes safari. In the middle of the desert, the Team got the chance to see a breathtaking sunset far away from all hectic of modern life.
