International Innovation Days 2014 in Cebu | Phlippines

Forum for networking and sharing know-how. More than 90 international clients and partners participated in the traditional Innovation Days from 27 November to 1 December. This time, the international aluplast family met in Cebu, Philippines, for an exchange among experts.

During three days, the system provider gave all participants the opportunity to get the latest innovations und developments of fenestration business and to exchange their views und share ideas.

The focus of this year’s innovation days was on “Architectural Projects – Requirements, Specifications, Planning und Completion“. To get the latest news from this branch first-hand and on the spot, numerous leading architects, developers as well as industry partners from all over the world were invited. The international customers took the opportunity to learn more about outstanding projects and special solutions.

“International exchange and close contact to our customers is very important to us.” confirmed Patrick Seitz, Managing Director of aluplast in his opening address.

With a presentation held by CJ Dekeling, director of Europa Design, the Philippine aluplast partner had the opportunity to address their guests.

Europa Design provides complete high-quality solutions for doors and windows for the Philippine market and has excellent experience in furnishing high class objects like residences, hotels and resorts from Luzon to Mindanao. Accordingly, CJ Dekeling's presentation backed up by his impressive practical knowledge was met with high interest.

From Matthias Karg, Application Engineer at aluplast, the participants learned everything worth knowing about the mono-rail door system, the new multi-sliding sash and the flyscreen system. Moreover, he presented new tools for statics calculations.

The last day of the International Innovation Days was a day to discover the country’s cultural beauty. The participants were invited to wander the lovely City of old Cebu with its old buildings, places and wonderful churches.

The Philippines is the third largest English speaking country in the world.

It has a rich history combining Asian, European, and American influences. Prior to Spanish colonization in 1521, the Filipinos had a rich culture and were trading with the Chinese and the Japanese.

The participants were accommodated in the luxurious Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa in Cebu and had the chance to enjoy the picturesque beach with its rich variety of tropical wildlife.
