Profile manufacturer exhibits at India's leading trade fair for doors, windows and facades

The Zak Doors & Windows Expo at the Bombay Exhibition Centre is India's first and only trade fair for doors, windows and façades. Of course, aluplast could not miss the trade fair and was present with a stand.

As the event took place at the same time as the Zak Glass Technology Expo and the Zak Aluminium Extrusions Expo, manufacturers, dealers and service providers had the opportunity to gather information across trade fairs and exploit synergies.

For aluplast, the trade fair stand was much more than just a presentation of the products and the establishment and maintenance of customer contacts. Its presence at the trade fair was a sign of its commitment to India. After all, India is part of aluplast's growth strategy. India is the gateway to the target markets of Asia and Australasia, which are important for the future of the company.

aluplast doubles machine capacity, logistics and storage space

aluplast decided some time ago in favour of expanding in the Indian market and has invested permanently in land, buildings and machinery. India currently accounts for only a small part of the aluplast Group, but a larger role is planned for the country. The investment is now entering its second round, with a further three to four million euros to be invested in the expansion of the company over the next 18 months.

"I am proud to say that we are just about to start phase two of our investments. This means we are doubling our machine capacity as well as the logistics and storage space in Barode."
Babak Golriz, head of expanding markets

The investment will increase production capacity and storage space. aluplast is aware that growth will take place slowly over several years. According to forecasts, the Indian market is expected to increase to around 10% of the Group's global turnover over the years and serve as a hub between the Asia-Pacific region and Australasia.

aluplast focuses on quality and innovation

aluplast recognises the challenges of the Indian market, which is very much focused on price. The price policy is in contrast to the quality orientation that is at the centre of aluplast's development and production. Therefore, aluplast is looking for a balanced price-performance ratio to give more people in India access to aluplast windows.

The Indian team at aluplast is aware of the challenge and ensures that a high-quality product is sold on the market. Growth is not focussed on pure market share, but rather on selling good products and bringing innovations to the market. aluplast is not looking for fast growth and quick profits, but is constantly convincing through overall quality. aluplast customers are used to and expect the highest quality. This includes not only the design and production of high-quality PVC-U window profiles, but also the delivery process and installation of the finished windows in the building. Only then can the end user enjoy the full quality that aluplast stands for.

To fulfil the quality promise, the same high-quality compound is used to extrude the profiles in India as in Germany. This may be costly in the short term, but people will recognise the high-quality product and be prepared to pay for the quality. aluplast is a premium brand and we create this understanding on the market.

"We are convinced of the overall quality. So what does the end user get? They get a window that is functional and provides security. So what are we really selling? We sell peace and quiet, we sell sunlight, we sell a weekend where you can relax without outside disturbances."
