aluplast’s success is unstoppable. The profile system provider from Karlsruhe, Germany, continues to expand into new markets in countries all over the world – this time by opening a new plant in Vadodara, India. The production facility will produce profiles for the entire Asian market. In line with the aluplast expansion strategy, the company intensified their activities in Asia and particularly in the Indian fenestration market by extruding highly energy-efficient uPVC window profiles locally. The new plant was inaugurated on 8 April 2016 by aluplast founder and Chairman Manfred J. Seitz and aluplast CEO Dirk Seitz together with many national and international leading personalities from the construction and fenestration industry.
Technologies for quality products
Only one year after the ground breaking ceremony, aluplast took over the facility in Vadodara and has already been extruding for a couple of months. All of aluplast’s technologies come into operation such as the co-extrusion of gaskets which has been standard at all aluplast extrusion facilities for many years.
Along with extruding, aluplast also starts the lamination of window profiles in several colours in April 2016. The plant in Vadodara uses aluplast’s unique tropical mix compound which is especially designed to prevent the discolouring of profiles in regions with very high UV radiation like India. This lead free compound is produced and supplied directly from aluplast Germany.
Quality for a high-potential market
Market Manager Asia, Africa and North America, Mr. Christian Feldmann points out: “At aluplast we believe in the potential of the Indian fenestration market and hence will keep investing here to strengthen our footprint. Every year we will continue to spend a multiple of the previous year’s revenue.”
Managing Director aluplast India Mr. Arun Sharma comments further: “Our systems offer energy efficiency thanks to their superior insulation properties. Also, there is much less maintenance required with our products and especially for India’s cities with their heavy traffic volume they provide great sound insulation. Further he says: “aluplast offers the widest product range in the market. As we are getting directly served by aluplast Germany, we can combine both, locally manufactured products which are in line with the local market’s needs as well as systems which are part of the German product portfolio. In that way, we can offer a great range from simple sliding systems to high end lift-and-slide solutions.”
A steadily growing company
From the very beginning in 1982, when aluplast was founded by Manfred J. Seitz, it was one of the company's essential goals to open up new markets all over the world. “Only nine years later, we started our international activities by establishing a sales office in Spain. By 2007, we already maintained four extrusion sites in Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Mexico and sales offices in over 20 countries on all five continents,” Mr. Dirk Seitz explains. No matter where in the world the aluplast profiles are sold or produced: the quality always meets the German aluplast quality standards. This quality comes along with the steady and long-term orientated management policy that distinguishes aluplast as a family-run business from other global players.
